
Every year, the Diwa Learning System, Inc. conducts its Gawad Tambuli. Part of this year’s event is the Pambansang Patimpalak sa Malikhaing Pagsulat which is open to all high school students nationwide.
The theme for this year is “Pilipino Ka. . . Ipagmalaki Mo.” SLR students who excel in writing were encouraged to join the said contest. The students wrote about Filipinos who succeeded and became well-known all over the world because of their talents, achievements and contributions in their chosen fields.
From among all the participants in the contest nationwide, three HS students bagged all the major awards namely Ma. Ana Christina S. Tantengco (1st Place), Kate Valerie E. Aquino ( 2nd Place) and Stefanie Janne Chelsea C. Galang (3rd Place).
The winners were awarded with medals and their works were published in the issue of the Kaluskos/ Tambuli journal. More importantly, they were published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer on February 25, 2014.
The winners together with their coach, Mrs. Riza Marie D. Mercado, and some administrators were also invited to watch the Pasiklaban sa Paaralan National Level Contest at the Mind Museum on March 15 in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City
