“Galing SanLo, Proud Ako!” was the battle cry of the students of San Lorenzo Ruiz Center of Studies and Schools in their Achievement Program held on March 20, 2014 at the SM Pampanga Event Center. The event highlighted the best of SLRians showcasing their talents, skills and other forms of intelligences. Parents and guardians were entertained by the variety of numbers prepared by the students.
The program started at 1:30 P.M. with a doxology performed by selected members of the SLR Dance Troupe.
A musical presentation of nursery rhymes was performed by the preschoolers while the primary pupils entertained the audience with their Disney Musical number. Pupils from the Holy Angel Village Branch made a dramatic reading of the piece entitled “Something to Remember”.
The high schools students also presented some Kapampangan numbers which include a declamation entitled “Lugud King Labuad” by Gat Andres Bonifacio; a Crissotan entitled “Ninu Ing Dapat Sisian King Amanung Sisuan Matatda Na.” The Intermediate Grades pupils featured different famous Kapampangan songs with interpretation which made their presentation more entertaining. Aside from these, song numbers and band rendition were performed by selected high school students.
Their bodily-kinesthetic intelligence was shown through the dance numbers presented by the third year students and the winners in the Mr. and Ms. Talent in the Search for Mr. and Ms. Campus Personality, Nicole Calica and Patricia Alyana Macalino. Mr. and Ms. Campus Personality 2013 winners, Hilmar Trinidad and Jenikka Bundalian walked confidently on stage dressed in elegant attire.
Truly, the SLRians shine not only in their academic performance but also in their God given talents.
